As founder and president of Absolute Mortgage
Banking since 1992, Joel oversees both front- and back-office
operations, manages staff, and works closely with team members
to ensure optimal client service and satisfaction. Advising
and interacting with both staff and clients throughout the
loan process, Joel utilizes his more than 25 years of real
estate finance experience to focus on ways to resolve potential
issues and to improve clients’ lives with individualized
financial solutions.
With a BA Magna cum Laude in Economics from
UCLA and an MBA in Real Estate from UC Berkeley, Joel began
his career as Product Manager in the Real Estate Loan Division
of Bank of America. Before founding AMB, Joel went on to serve
as Vice President of Mortgage Finance for Consolidated Capital
Equities Corporation and, later, as Chief Financial Officer
for a division of real estate developer Trammell Crow Residential.
Among his many accomplishments, Joel is a former Board Member
of the Foster City Chamber of Commerce, the Silicon Valley
Association of Realtors and the Apartment Industry Foundation
for Housing Assistance. He also shares his knowledge of real
estate finance as an Adjunct Professor at Golden Gate University,
and Part-Time Instructor in Real Estate Finance at the College
of San Mateo and Foothill college, and as host of the popular
television show Absolutely Real Estate from 1995-98.
The father of four children, Joel lives in
Palo Alto with his wife and children, and enjoys coaching
AYSO soccer for all of his children. |
